Congratulations to GESTAR II 610AT Peer Award Recipients
On January 23, 2025, the 2024 610AT/619 Peer Awards Ceremony was held at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The event included the awards ceremony and a potluck-style lunch along with cake and refreshments.

Hiren Jethva (614/MSU) received The Differentiate Award for Best Senior Author Publication: "For demonstrating a synergistic approach to characterizing aerosol properties above clouds by the combined use of satellite measurements (CALIOP, OMI, MODIS) and airborne ORACLES campaign observations."

Mijin Kim (613/MSU) received The Grow Award for Accelerated Growth: "For leading the effort to homogenize surface reflectance assumptions throughout the Dark Target aerosol algorithm, and proposing new science frameworks that join aerosol and trace gas remote sensing communities in 610AT."
Lok Lamsal (formerly 614/UMBC, now at DOI) was recognized with The Engage Award for Outreach, Mentorship, and Upskilling: "For outstanding mentorship of young and aspiring scientists in using satellite datasets for the study of the Earth's atmosphere, selflessly paying it forward to inspire the next generation."
