Orland contributes to Earth Observatory Image of the Day
"Catastrophic wildfires scorched" parts of Chile in early February 2024. "NASA's Earth Applied Sciences Disasters program area was activated to support partners responding to the event. As new information becomes available, the team will be posting maps and data products on its open-access mapping portal."
Eli Orland (617/UMBC), a member of the Landslide Hazards Group at NASA GSFC, contributed to this Earth Observatory item, "Inferno Scars Valparaiso", discussing how the area can be affected by hazards after the fires.
