This is a real-world application of "If you see a landslide, say something," which was from a previous post related to Thomas Stanley's (617/UMBC) work with the Landslide Reporter. The guide was safe, and she was able to divert another person away from the landslide. Mr. Stanley, his colleagues, and sponsor Dalia Kirschbaum (GSFC) study, write about, and track landslides. They utilize a NASA model called Landslide Hazard Assessment for Situational Awareness (LHASA).
