Stanley, Amatya, Emberson part of NASA SOY Award for LHASA

"NASA has awarded the prestigious NASA [2023] Software of the Year (SOY) Award to a team of scientists and engineers at the Earth Sciences Division of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. The team received the SOY award for developing a data-driven software tool called the Landslide Hazard Assessment for Situational Awareness (LHASA) version 2.0." The SOY award is very competitive and "is NASA's highest commendation for software excellence."
 
Members of the LHASA development team include Dalia Kirschbaum (Director, ESD), Thomas Stanley (617/UMBC), Robert Emberson (617/UMBC), Pukar Amatya (617/UMBC), Garrett Benz, Marin Clark, and William Medwedeff. More information about LHASA and the Landslide Team Projects is available here.
