Shuman contributes to Earth Observatory IOTD
In a recent Earth Observatory Item of the Day (IOTD), Christopher Shuman (615/UMBC) contributed to the discussion about Iceberg A-83. "A Winter Wanderer in the Weddell Sea" is a feature about this particular iceberg, which broke away from the Brunt Ice Shelf in May 2024. While originally stuck in thick sea ice, the iceberg has had pieces break off and has made progress in its journey. Read more about the iceberg and the special data collection program LEAP.
